Mr. Asthma

Question:

Hi yall… I am a posting maniac today. I have been put on the powder form of Serevent (Serevent Discus) and have found that it doesn’t make me feel so good taking it. When I use it and try to hold my breath even 2 seconds it hurts. I don’t have this problem with any of my MDI’s. With the Servent, I feel like I have to cough and that I am having an asthma attack. It irritates them something awful. Anyone else have this happen? Shannon

YES!! I am actually going off the serevent due to that very reason.  My pulminologist thinks it was making my asthma worse and caused alot of irritation also.  I have been off of it for three days and my lungs are feeling better. Have you tried one of the new drugs, Singulair or Accolate?  I haven’t but just a though. Good luck and call your doctor about these side effects of Serevent, they are real.
