Asthma – Nutrasweet
Question:
Tea and asthma? Tea is probably an old-fashioned cure for asthma. Tea, depending on the kind, has caffiene in it. Caffeine is a methylxanthine – similar to theophylline…. — Kathie Sindt
Response:
I searched the Net for info, and found plenty of opinions about nutrasweet. I don’t know how sound the facts are, but it sounds like some debate exists. Several problems relating to nutrasweet and effects on the nervous system were claimed. In addition, I found a few references to respitory problems, too. Take it for what you want. Use Alta Vista and do a search on "nutrasweet health" and you’ll see some of those articles. I figure as long is there’s some debate over it, I’ll drink iced tea instead.
