cramping, nausea, headache, nasal congestion, and mouth sores.Iwas taking the 220 dose 2 puffs twice a day.I cut back to one puff twice a day and feel better. As for the mouth sores rinsing and gargling with warm water immediatly after dosing helps tremendously also there are some OTC oral medication for the mouth sores that provide pain relief and a barrier that lasts up to 6 hrs.I also have a very raspy voice.I also started taking Wellbutrin and some side effects could be due to that but talking to your doctor and suggesting the lower dose also keeping a good peak flow record will help you to know where you stand with your asthma.I wish you luck and hope you find relief.    I’ve been getting bruising lately with the flovent250, and I normally am not an easy bruiser. I think it must be the least annoying of all the side-affects from the meds I take, so I don’t worry about it. Tina in Montreal

Response:

a oral rinse for mouth problems called  nystatin oral rinse and nystatin ointment for the corners of your mouth.  Works great!  RabbitNSE

I’ve had relative who had trouble with bruising, but I think it started with  Prednisone.  I’ve suspected that the inhalers could cause it too. i can’t remember who it was, but someone presented concerns about flovent and bruising.  i have been taking flovent for a couple of weeks and look like a battered woman!  some of the bruised areas are very tender to the touch as well.  in addition, i am finding i have nausea. i wasnt sure if it was the flovent caused the nausea so i reduced my dosage to two puffs at night only, skipping the two a.m. puffs.  nausea went away within a day.  i did remember it started shortly after i began the flovent therapy.  wondering if anyone else has had similar flovent experiences.  i also previously posted issues with mouth sores.  this is still my experience and i am scheduled to see the doc tomorrow.  i have started covering my tongue with wax paper (don’t laugh!) when i use my flovent in hopes it will help protect.  the flovent is still doing alot for my RADS, but these side effects are most unpleasant. natural
